The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position at rank and salary commensurate with experience to begin fall 2019. This is a 9-month academic appointment, with a possible summer stipend. Review of applications will begin March 1, 2019 and the position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications: (a) earned doctorate in nursing (DNP preferred); (b) experience teaching in a graduate nursing program (doctorate program preferred); (c) experience chairing scholarly projects and/or dissertations; (d) evidence of established program of scholarship; (e) record of extramural support and current competitive funding preferred (f) eligible for Texas licensure.

Responsibilities:  Duties include, but are not limited to, (1) primary teaching responsibility in dynamic hybrid DNP and graduate programs, highly ranked each year by US News & World; (2) chairing DNP scholarly projects; (3) mentoring and advising students; (4) maintaining an active program of scholarship; (5) representing the School of Nursing in University committees and governance

Nursing Program:  The Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) degree offers two tracks: advanced practice and leadership. In addition to the DNP, a PhD in Nursing, three MSN, and BSN degrees are offered.  For more information about the nursing program:
